My most influential teacher

Who was your most influential teacher? Why?

My most influential teacher would have to be my mom. It’s the non traditional answer. I feel like my mom taught me so many things: how to tie my shoe when i was three or four. She taught me how to write my first cursive word when I was six. (My name) she obviously taught me how to be polite, kind, nice, caring etc. She taught me about African history and she taught me about self care/self love.

My mom taught me how to be confident and believe in myself. She taught me how to persevere and set goals that I could accomplish. She taught me about art and museums. Taking me to the Science Center, Natural History museum, California African American Museum and the Getty. We would go to MOCA museum of contemporary art and the Broade and LACMA when I was an adult.

We always had good times! And I appreciate every moment I spent with her. I love her so much still.
